I already gave my little girls an early Christmas present 🎄✨🎅🏻🎁🌟 I cleaned Donatella's teeth🐶❤️, Antonella's 🐶❤️ and Maria Elise's 🐶❤️. That's what a dentist's daughter gets 😜. Their dad will come for Christmas and will be able to kiss everyone with a “Colgate smile” 🥰🥰🥰

Look at this boy with a childish face, but who is already a 12-year-old man!!! It's Nori 🐶❤️, he had a large nodule in his maxilla, also compromising his nasal cavity. I had to perform a more invasive surgery, called a maxillectomy, in which the maxilla is removed. Nori 🐶 is recovering well, alongside his mother and godmother who arrived yesterday from the US just to be present at today's surgery. I am proud of people like this, who spare no effort and when love for life is priceless. These girls have been my clients for years, I followed their doctoral paths until they became researchers at Harvard... they came to Brazil at the end of October to receive an award for the best scientific research of 2024, last week they returned to the US to participate in a Congress and came back for Nori. There are no barriers for those who truly love ❤️🥰

Look, I'm already up to date with the Christmas decorations at the clinic too ✨🎄🎅🏻🥳🥳🥳. Cadu 🐶❤️ was the first to enjoy it 🤗. Cadu 🐶 is young, in the prime of his life, but he's already taking precautions to grow old with a healthy mouth 🥰🥰

I know that my clinical colleagues do not recommend cats to be overweight because it predisposes them to fatty liver... but, since I am a dentist 😇, I can say: I love a chubby cat😍, look at Mabu's little belly 🐱❤️. Mabu's case is interesting, I'll tell you about it. She came to me because she had a toothache due to an abscess in her upper canine tooth. In all my surgeries, I always do an intraoral x-ray to evaluate the tooth roots. Look how important this exam is, we discovered three more teeth with Tooth Resorption that needed to be extracted. If it weren't for the intraoral x-ray, Mabu 🐱❤️ would have gone home in pain and her problem would not have been solved. Do it! It is very important to close the diagnosis and offer the most appropriate treatment for each case.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Yes! Halitosis is a sign of inflammation in the mouth, it could be gingivitis, periodontitis, or even a fractured tooth. All these conditions require treatment.
Often, a crown fracture leads to the exposure of the pulp, through which bacteria from the saliva can enter. Even if the cat eats normally, it is necessary to treat the root canal of that tooth to prevent root infection.
Even if your puppy is less than a year old, it is advisable to extract the persistent deciduous (milk) teeth to prevent tartar build-up and the development of periodontal disease.
Cats can develop a condition called gingivostomatitis, which is very painful and prevents them from eating. Urgent treatment is necessary to counteract this disease and to restore the quality of life and well-being of affected cats
These are classic symptoms of dental elongation. It is necessary to perform dental trimming before they stop eating altogether, which swiftly puts their life at risk.
Dental spurs could be harming the oral cavity's soft tissue, causing pain and watery eyes, which complicates chewing. Reduced consumption of fibrous food can alter gut bacteria, leading to diarrhea. Prompt dental trimming and occlusion adjustment are essential to avoid further complications of these sensitive animals.
